Inspiration Board #3

Awoo Dixi Fam,

We are still dousing ourselves in inspiration for our Woodlands Talent Scout Competition, so cute animal pictures, magical forest inspired illustrations, and nature photos are very much our most pinned things over the last week or so.

All images sourced on Pinterest.

Things making us happy this week:
❤︎ Recognising the incredible work of every single person who works so selflessly for our NHS, the doctors, the nurses, the porters, the paramedics, the students, the cleaners, all of you; the carers looking after our loved ones; the retail workers keeping our shops open; the police officers keeping our streets safe; the postal and delivery workers bringing us the things we can't go and shop for ourselves; the bin men and women continuing to keep our streets clean... all the people keeping our little world going around.
❤︎ The beginning of Springtime... the air is starting to feel warm, and the sun is on our skin
❤︎ Getting creative and creating mystical charm bracelets 'specially for our Dixi Pack
❤︎ Working on some things that... we can't reveal just yet :)

We've been listening to:
Fake Heiress, the story of con woman Anna Delvey / Anna Sorokin. If you listen to this and enjoy it, I recommend the book My Friend Anna by Rachel Deloache Williams. Rachel is heard in Fake Heiress and was a close friend of Anna's, and also a victim of her deception.

Vicky's been reading...

Dark Dreams by Roy Hazelwood and Stephen G. Michaud. This is an essential read on FBI criminal profiling techniques and dives deep into the science of dissecting the criminal mind. This read can be graphic, and uses real life case studies.
Six Tudor Queens: Anna of Kleve, Queen of Secrets by Alison Weir. If you have any interest in Tudor History then I can't recommend this series of books enough. Each book follows the life of one of Henry VIII's Queen's, from childhood to death, and is told entirely from their point of view. These are so sympathetically written, well researched, and easy to read.

So Dixi Fam, what have you found yourselves enjoying this week? We hope you are all staying safe, and doing what you can to look after the people around you!

Lots of love, your Sisters at Dixi x
